Suasana khusyuk dan penuh kebahagiaan menyelimuti SMA Negeri 2 Pacitan pada pagi hari tanggal 17 Juni 2024, bertepatan dengan Hari Raya Idul Adha 1445 Hijriah. Seluruh warga sekolah, mulai dari siswa, guru, staf tata usaha, hingga pengurus komite sekolah, berkumpul di lapangan sekolah untuk melaksanakan Sholat Ied berjamaah.
Setelah Sholat Ied selesai, acara dilanjutkan dengan penyembelihan hewan kurban. Tahun ini, SMA Negeri 2 Pacitan menyembelih seekor sapi dan seekor kambing. Proses penyembelihan hewan kurban dilakukan dengan tertib dan sesuai dengan syariat Islam. Daging kurban kemudian dibagikan kepada seluruh warga sekolah, dan sebagian di masak bersama-sama. Siswa di bagi menjadi 6 kelompok dan nantinya di bagi daging untuk dimasak. Hidangan yang sudah matang lalu dimakan bersama-sama.
Kegiatan penyembelihan hewan kurban di SMA Negeri 2 Pacitan bukan hanya sebagai ritual keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk menumbuhkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan kepedulian sosial. Para siswa belajar tentang arti berbagi dan membantu sesama. Mereka juga memahami makna pengorbanan dan keikhlasan yang terkandung dalam ibadah kurban.
Semangat Idul Adha yang terpancar di SMA Negeri 2 Pacitan menjadi bukti bahwa sekolah ini tidak hanya fokus pada pendidikan formal, tetapi juga pada pembinaan karakter dan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Momen Idul Adha ini menjadi pengingat bagi seluruh warga sekolah untuk selalu berbuat kebaikan dan saling membantu.
