Kegiatan Tengah Semester (KTS) merupakan kegiatan di luar sekolah yang bertujuan memberikan suasana baru bagi siswa agar tidak hanya belajar di dalam ruang kelas saja, melainkan siswa juga dapat bermain dan belajar di luar kelas. Dengan adanya KTS ini, diharapkan kejenuhan siswa dapat menghilang dan siswa dapat men-charge semangat baru untuk memulai rutinitas belajar seperti biasanya.
SMAN 2 Pacitan baru menerapkan kegiatan KTS pada semester 1 tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Pelaksanaan lomba mulai tanggal 9 – 13 Oktober 2023. Kegitan ini berupa Lomba-lomba antar kelas. Mulai dari lomba upacara, lomba kelas 7K, lomba PBB, lomba poster, lomba story telling, lomba cipta puisi, lomba fotografi dan lain sebagainya. Pembukaan KTS sangat meriah dengan mendatangkan Kepala Cabang Dinas Wilayah Kabupaten Pacitan. Pembukaan KTS dikemas sedamikian rupa hampir menyerupai pembukaan olimpiade tingkat Nasional.
Lomba-lomba yang dipertandingkan sebagai ganti nilai ulangan tengah semester. Setiap anak wajib mengikuti salah satu dari kegiatan lomba-lomba tersebut.
